Accounting & Risk Management Administrator II
The Accounting & Risk Management Administrator plays a key role in supporting the accounting department through a variety of administrative tasks while also managing workers’ compensation, auto, and general liability claims. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys working with numbers, and excels at problem-solving. The ideal candidate will facilitate effective communication across departments and with external partners to ensure efficient and accurate handling of financial and risk-related matters.
Accounting & Risk Management Administrator Responsibilities
Review and process vendor invoices for accuracy and proper coding.
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding payments and invoice status.
Assist with monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Track and maintain records of insurance policies and renewals.
Ensure proper documentation and audit support is maintained
Support the accounting team with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Assist with travel rate negotiations
Management of Monthly/Quarterly Reviews, Audits and Sign offs
Ensure claims, as assigned, are submitted to carrier or third-party administrator.
Coordinate with third-party administrators, legal counsel, medical providers, insurance brokers and internal departments to manage claims efficiently, reduce costs, and promote workplace safety.
Monitor and process workers’ compensation claims and related benefits.
Review accident reports for completeness and accuracy.
Ensure accuracy of claims reports and related documentation.
Act as primary administrator on assigned claims portals, systems and applications.
Maintain and update claims databases and tracking systems.
Create/maintain and ensure timeliness and accuracy of reporting request for accounting and enterprise risk which includes loss runs, claim details and expenses.

Accounting & Risk Management Administrator Requirements
Experience with insurance or risk management (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Oracle, or similar).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to both employees and stakeholders.
Excellent Customer Service and Follow up Skills
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Years of Related Experience: 2+ years of experienced in accounting or administrative support role.
Compensation Grade Pay Range
$66,495.00 - $83,115.00Business Unit - B00015
