HouseSmart Intermediate Facilities Compliance & Audit Specialist
Travel Required: 50-60%
Must be able to travel up to 50-60%. These audits are performed at HouseSmart locations across the USA. Part of the audit work involves site visits to homes being set up in the field and the circumstances found at homesites will vary. Care must be taken to avoid risks to personal safety, and the varied risks associated with visiting a home under construction.
Location preference: Maryville/Knoxville, Tri-Cities, Asheville
The Intermediate Auditor is responsible for providing an audit project lead role in the completion of the HouseSmart audit plan, focused on customer experience and the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
Intermediate Auditor Responsibilities

Serve as dedicated, field auditor for various types of business processes and hubs/facilities across the Retail division and subsidiary companies:
Creating, maintaining and executing standardized audit programs
Communicating progress, any issues and audit findings to management on a timely basis
Collaborating with management to co-develop appropriate recommendations and action plans to address findings

Serve as an advisor to management on more complex projects by:
Developing & maintaining a solid understanding of the business strategies for the HouseSmart functional areas
Communicating with and educating process owners on the importance of controls and an effective control environment
Taking initiative to proactively suggest/research new audit techniques

Build and maintain relationships with business partners at the manager and staff levels
Provide advice and share Internal Audit knowledge with them, as appropriate
Adapt between working independently or collaboratively on a team
Intermediate Auditor Requirements
4-year degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other related areas
CIA, Lean 6 Sigma or other related certifications encouraged
Completion of at least 3-5 years of related work experience in applicable manufacturing or supply operations, quality assurance or operational auditing highly preferred
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Skilled communicator who is professional, well organized, thorough, committed, urgent, and a resourceful problem solver
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management and staff
Detail oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines, complete tasks timely and follow up as needed with high accuracy and thoroughness
Self-starter with ability to work under limited supervision
Specific business knowledge obtained through business process training or special assignments preferred
