Job Summary
This job focuses on managing warehouse operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the security of materials and equipment. It includes supervising staff, overseeing shipping/receiving, conducting inventories, and implementing safety programs. Additionally, it involves managing expenses, guiding facility maintenance, and leading operational improvements.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervising warehouse personnel, including hiring, training, team building, scheduling, and conducting performance reviews and corrective actions
- Coordinating all shipping and receiving functions, such as packing, preparing lists, liaising with shippers, and managing material intake
- Enforcing inventory procedures to ensure timely and accurate warehouse transactions and inventory flow management
- Performing regular physical inventories, preparing reports for management, and collaborating with departments for inventory accuracy
- Managing the security of inventory assets and taking action on suspected material theft within set guidelines by senior management
- Issuing materials and equipment upon receipt of proper documentation and supervising the process to ensure compliance
- Implementing safety and health programs to maintain safe working conditions and ensuring legal compliance
- Overseeing facility maintenance, including updates, vehicle care, building repairs, and managing relationships with vendors
- Assisting with project material management, analyzing yields, and contributing to project efficiency
- Managing and controlling warehouse expenses in alignment with project budgets and departmental financial goals
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
