Position Summary:

The Manager Environmental Services will be responsible for the overall daily operations of the Environmental Services department. The manager will be responsible for hiring and training staff, communicating policy and procedure, and establishing best practice standards for the department. The manager will be responsible for establishing policies, procedures, and schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Informs staff of job responsibilities, performance expectations, customer service, corporate policies and guidelines.
  • Coordinates schedules to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Responsible for hiring and training staff
  • Maintain supplies and products. Order as necessary
  • Establishes guidelines and cleaning protocols
  • Performs cleaning functions
  • Assists in cleaning of emergency spills
  • Reports the need for repairs to equipment, furnishings, buildings, and fixtures
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to an Associate’s degree. Preference may be given to individuals possessing an Associate’s degree in a directly-related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum Experience:

One (1) year supervisory experience.
