Position Summary:
The Corporate Clinical Practice Specialist Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of educational programs for clinical staff across the enterprise. This position directly reports to the System Chief Nursing Officer and involves working closely with healthcare professionals at all levels to ensure ongoing education, training, and professional development. The Manager will oversee the design of programs to enhance clinical competencies, improve patient outcomes, and ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives. The Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that clinical staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to provide high-quality patient care. The role contributes to the overall success and growth of the organization, fostering an environment of excellence in patient care and clinical practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of clinical education programs to meet the needs of nursing staff, physicians, allied health professionals, and other clinical teams across the enterprise.
- Ensure the educational content is evidence-based, current, and relevant to the organization’s strategic goals and patient care initiatives.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of curriculum and training materials, including online modules, workshops, in-service training, and certifications.
- Supervise and work with Education Coordinators and Clinical Practice Specialists, while overseeing the integration of new entities into the enterprise-wide educational framework.
- Collaborate with leadership across the enterprise to assess the educational needs of clinical staff and develop strategies to address gaps in clinical competencies, knowledge, and address improvement opportunities.
- Identifies clinical best practices and provides education and leadership for the health enterprise on current and new clinical quality standards and improvement opportunities; and integrates them into educational offerings.
- Ensure all clinical education programs meet accreditation standards and regulatory requirements while leading efforts in maintaining compliance with national and state regulations related to clinical training and continuing education.
- Provide leadership for ongoing professional development opportunities for all clinical staff and to ensure clinical staff have access to resources that support career development and personal growth.
- Oversee the budget for clinical education programs, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently. Monitor spending, evaluate program costs, and make recommendations for improving program delivery within budget constraints.
- Integrate evidence-based research into educational content and clinical workflows to advance clinical practice.
- Stay current on the latest trends in healthcare education technology and leverage technology to enhance clinical education, including virtual learning, simulation experiences, and online platforms.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of clinical education staff, identifying professional development needs and opportunities.
- Prepare and present regular updates to leadership on clinical education metrics, staff training completion rates, and performance improvement outcomes that highlight the status, effectiveness, and outcomes of clinical education programs.
- Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science in nursing required.
Minimum Experience:
Five (5) years’ experience in management, strategic planning, human resource practice, project management, and performance management.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have and maintain Tennessee State RN licensure.
