BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Performs electroneurodiagnostic technician duties proficiently. Duties may include attaching monitoring equipment to patients, observing and accurately documenting recordings, participating in patient/family education and orientation to the neurology department and various procedures. Ensures safety throughout a patient’s stay.

  JOB REQUIREMENTS
  Minimum Education
● High School/GED Required; Degree in Neurodiagnostics or related field preferred
  Minimum Work Experience
● Previous experience in pediatric electro-diagnostics preferred
  Required Licenses/Certifications for position
● Must hold credentials from The American Board of Registration for Electrocephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET).
 ● Required to maintain BLS certification.
 Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Demonstrates good, appropriate interpersonal skills considering the age/population and cognitive abilities of the individuals.
 ● While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear.
● Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. In the performance of this job, the employee may be exposed to chemical vapors such as acetone, ether, or glutaraldehyde.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

 Medium lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 20-50 lbs occasionally, 10-20 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 100 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
