Behavioral Health Research Assistant- Full Time, Days
East Tennessee Children's Hospital
BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Involved in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of behavioral health data across multiple service lines. Assists in the preparation and execution of research protocols. Works closely with principal investigators and other researchers to provided needed information and keeps records and databases up to date. Aides in journal submission process.

- Director of Behavioral Health Initiatives; Chief Medical Officer

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in lieu of education.
License/Certification Required: No
Minimum Work Experience: Previous research experience and statistics knowledge, Experience in behavioral health or related field.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to effectively devote keen and acute attention to detail.
- Is proactive and makes routine decisions independently.
- Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint and other computer applications.
- Experience with eClinicalWorks and Meditech preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Researching findings that relate to behavioral health projects and provide feedback from improvement.
- Review current research in relation, but not limited to, pediatric behavioral health.
- Assists in developing research projects, including data needed, collection methods, and IRB process.
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to support the data collection needed for projects.
- Creating literature reviews of potential resources.
- Creating surveys and other assessment materials via Microsoft and other technology.
- Maintaining and updating forms and documents for a project, including surveys or patient consent forms.
- Collecting, organizing, and analyzing data related to ongoing research studies.
- Analyzing data using statistical software.
- Collaborate across departments to build out needed templates and reports for access to needed data.
- Assist in writing research papers for submission to journals.
- Demonstrates good written communication skills; writes documents and reports clearly, concisely, and grammatically correct.
- Aid in journal submission process.

- Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 1-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending, and reaching is required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
