BASIC PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Facilitates supply needs for anesthesia staff and patient charges. Provides secretarial and technical support associated with anesthesia equipment.

- Assistant Nurse Manager
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Supervisory Responsibilities: NO
Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED Preferred
License/Certification Required: Certified Anesthesiologist Technician preferred
Minimum Work Experience: 2 years experience in allied health care role.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrates effective communication skills, ability to meet demands of an active position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in anesthesia surgical room preparation, setups, and turn-around. Orders anesthesia supplies and provides room re-stocking on daily basis.
- Completes inventory on all anesthesia carts and supply areas. Organizes anesthesia supply room.
- Completes stocking and outdating drugs in anesthesia cart. Assembles age appropriate instruments and equipment for anesthesia procedures.
- Provides a complete inventory of all anesthesia supplies and equipment. Works with biomedical department to facilitate any and all equipment maintenance/repair.
- Responsible for recording anesthesia supply inventory. Conducts meetings with Anesthesia sales and service vendors.
- Assumes anesthesia secretarial duties as requested. Inputs anesthesia patient charges in computer.

- Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to provide non–direct patient care/support services to staff under the direction of licensed personnel: Assists with maintaining a safe, clean and orderly clinical and patient care area environment. Stocks supplies on a proactive basis and/or as directed. Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges. Actively participates and contributes to unit initiatives. Willingly assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
- Consistently optimizes time efficiently and effectively, and serves as a role model/resource for others.
- Respectfully uses hospital resources appropriately, avoiding miss-use, abuse or waste reflective of Lean Principles.
- Promptly, thoroughly and accurately records applicable patient charges to ensure appropriate billing of services.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Light lifting, pushing and pulling is required for 10-20 lbs occasionally and frequent moving of objects of less than 10 lbs is required. Frequent sitting with some walking, standing, squatting, bending and reaching is required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
