Job Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Verify vendor billing accuracy
- Perform 3-way match to purchase orders and approvals
- Enter invoices into Accounting system in a timely manner
- Accurately enter payments into online bank portal to process ACH, Checks or credit card payments
- Accrue any under-billings by journal entry
Financial Record keeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the organization.
- Record journal entries in the general ledger and ensure entries are posted correctly.
Reconciliation:
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and inventory on a regular basis.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with financial records.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and collaborate with auditors.
Analysis:
- Analyze equipment inventory and other balance sheet accounts to locate any errors or trends
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.
Communication:
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and provide support as needed.
- Communicate financial information to management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or related experience.
- Experience in the telecom industry is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Quickbooks Online experience preferred but not mandatory.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ad hoc projects
