Jewelry Television - 1st Shift Armed Security Officer

Job Summary:

• Position will be responsible for securing the premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.
• Prevents loss and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of the policy and procedures. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining statements and signatures.
• Maintains organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Responsible for calling the Police or Fire Departments in cases of emergency, such as a fire or presence of an unauthorized person.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property. Answer phone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours.
• Ability to work independently and as a team, ability and willingness to work cooperatively with others, possess a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
• Operates X-ray and metal detecting equipment
• Inspects all employees and visitors to be sure proper identification is visible and following the jewelry policy.
• Monitors video surveillance cameras.
• Monitors AMAG for door alarms.
• Enforces parking regulations.
• Performs product transfers between different building locations

Requirements:

• Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience and/or customer service experience is preferred
• Weekend availability
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Be able to maintain a TN driver’s license
