Jewelry Television: 1st Shift Metal Quality Screening Agent

The Metal Quality Screening Agent is responsible for determining metal quality accuracy of all QC inbound product at JTV and flagging and communicating any discrepancies or inaccuracies to the Advanced Testing Laboratory for further investigation. This role may also support other Quality Control department functions as needed. This position is Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

1. Uses an XRF screening device to ensure metal quality standards (training will be provided).
2. Communicates and collaborates metal quality issues to internal Advanced Testing Lab.
3. Facilitates and cooperates with Quality Control Supervisor to optimize priority product flow.
4. Observes products and chemical data for quality discrepancies.
5. Involves lifting and organizing tubs weighing up to 25 pounds.
6. Basic computer file organization skills for archiving metal testing results.

Requirements:

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Able to work well doing tedious and repetitive tasks.
3. Has strong attention to detail
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. Ability to work well within a team as well as independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Some high school chemistry or familiarity with basic chemistry and/or the periodic table of elements.
2. Experience with or knowledge of jewelry, gemstones, and/or minerals.
