About the Role: The Planner/Scheduler performs key resource planning and management for the department. The individual will work alongside a team to perform balancing to
maximize crew productivity; ensure that future work is fully planned, prepared, and ready for the workday; be responsible for coordinating with leadership and staffing to ensure proper task optimization, including customer related work and coordination, system improvements and system maintenance, and trouble response; operate in a team environment with a safe and positive attitude related to the crews and their assigned work; and provide support as needed including documentation management, reporting and metrics, project coordination, reviewing completed orders for accuracy, and system querying. Using effective communication skills, the Planner/Scheduler/ Assigner will collaborate with both internal and external customers to provide a high level of customer service. The Planner/ Scheduler must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to accept additional job duties on occasion/as-needed, such as working during storm events, off-shift requirements, etc. Qualifications

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary Work – Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Exercises mental and visual alertness frequently.
Minimum Requirements:
Associate degree or two (2) years of documented college level coursework in business management, transportation and logistics, or other related field or one (1) to three (3) years of demonstrated experience in related field
Advanced computer literacy and ability to work with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio)
Excellent customer service skills, including professionalism with written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and on multiple projects and tasks
Ability to direct the work of others and work well in a collaborative environment
Valid driver's license
Preferred Requirements:
3+ years of utility experience
Ability to initiate process improvements and implement changes
Strong analytical and project management skills
Knowledge of KUB Software Systems (Maximo, CIS, ADMS, Fieldwork, Sharepoint, etc.)
