About the Role: Supports New Service Engineering Department and staff by performing duties such as, but not limited to, assisting with electric, water and wastewater designs, reviewing plans and conducting construction estimates. Will assist field personnel with variety of engineering tasks such as GPS, water and wastewater field testing and, water sample collection. Utilizes AutoCAD and other drafting tools to produce various engineering drawings. Other projects, duties, and tasks will be assigned as needed.

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have and maintain full-time student status at an accredited college or university pursuing an Associates, Bachelor’s, or a graduate-level degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems, or related Engineering discipline
Must have and maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license
Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week; Monday-Friday, 7AM-5PM
Effective oral and written communication
Must possess basic computer skills
Preferred Requirements:
Completion of some advance level engineering coursework
Intermediate or advanced level of proficiency with computer drafting software (ArcMap, AutoCad, Microstation)
Interest in field investigations related to utility systems
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Access
