About the Role: This position uses ESRI, ArcGIS, and AutoCAD software to produce maps that represent the location of specific utility facilities. Develops tables and maps using data from a geographic information system (GIS). Utilizes Excel to query and analyze specific data. Assists with utility records research, data validation, data analysis, and problem resolution. Assists with preparation of work site drawings and special sketches, and collect utility GPS data. Must be flexible in performing daily tasks and accepting additional duties as needed.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary work; exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Physical demands for a specific position within this classification may vary and / or exceed those demands described above.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have and maintain a full-time student status at an accredited college or university pursuing an associates, Bachelor's, or graduate-level degree or related certification

• Have and maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher

• Must be able to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 7:00am and 5:00pm

• Must possess skills in MS Office applications, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in GIS, Geography, or related field

• Experience using ESRI Geographical Information Systems and/or AutoCAD
