About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefits & Compliance Analyst to support and enhance our employee benefits programs. In this role, you will play a key part in administering, evaluating, and improving health and welfare and retirement-related programs while ensuring full compliance with state and federal regulations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with HR and external partners to deliver an exceptional employee benefits experience and drive continuous process improvement.

In this role, you will:

  • Compile and analyze information regarding benefit and compliance programs to support informed decision-making.

  • Collaborate closely with benefits consultants, vendors, and legal partners to ensure compliance is maintained across all aspects of benefits administration.

  • Partner on cross-functional initiatives related to benefits administration, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement programs.

  • Evaluate benefit programs and proposes solutions to improve processes related to health and welfare plans, and retirement plans including pension and 401(k) administration.

  • Design, prepare, and present benefits reports and analytics for leadership.

  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws regarding benefits within scope of responsibilities.

  • Analyze utilization trends for self-funded health plans and recommends plan design enhancements.

  • Assess current benefits offerings, identify gaps, and present strategic recommendations to leadership.

  • Evaluate employee benefit contracts and provides recommendations for plan amendments as needed.

  • Recommend updates to corporate policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.

  • Work with highly confidential data and exercise the utmost discretion.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

This position is primarily sedentary and performed in a typical office environment. Duties involve sitting most of the time with occasional walking or standing. The role may require occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items up to 10 pounds. Bending, stooping, or reaching may occasionally be required. Physical demands may vary by position and may occasionally exceed those described above.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field

  • Three (3) years experience in Human Resources or related field

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and changing deadlines in a timely manner

  • Proficiency in spreadsheets and presentation software (Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Ability to work with confidential information and exercise discretion

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Requirements:

  • Five (5) years experience in Benefits Administration

  • Thorough understanding of state and federal laws involving benefits administration

  • Demonstrated experience with financial and/or benefit analysis

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn HRIS software and practices

  • Excellent team and interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) with all levels of employees and management

  • Excellent customer service skills
