Summary:
Supervises quality inspection of product, processes, and people. Continuously improves work environment safety, product quality, and maintains productivity to schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Accountable for inspection processes by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and security in the work environment.
- Completes production requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; monitors work results.
- Executes problem solving and corrective actions when improvement opportunities are identified.
- Maintains production staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training new employees.
- Monitors staff performance, conducts reviews, and administers disciplinary actions per policies.
- Motivates, organizes, and encourages at the individual and team levels to meet productivity targets.
- Decision making skills using facts and data that are in the best interest of Pursuit.
- Develop and maintain departmental work instructions, training, and holding team accountable.
- Maintains/improves metrics by reviewing reports and data and making appropriate adjustments.
- Develop employee’s job skills, teamwork, and growth ambitions through coaching and mentoring.
- Leads corrective actions and improvement projects to resolve or prevent manufacturing risks.
- Understands hazardous materials/equipment and the proper safe handling; ensuring all proper policies, procedures, and best practices are followed.
- Shows initiative, courage, integrity, and bases decisions on what is best for the company, not the individual.
- Leads by example and builds relationships through effective communication across departments.
- Oversee the use of quality inspection software to assure accurate data input and reporting.
- Pursues personal growth and seeks opportunities for ongoing learning and professional certification.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Leadership of teams and coaching others required supervisory skills and experience preferred.
- Lead meetings and present information within and across departments.
- Experience with lamination, assembly processes, and finished products.
- Ability to read and interpret business documents and data including industry technical standards.
- Knowledge of general business computer software and aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook (email/meetings) Word & PowerPoint (creating technical documentation), Excel (data analytics and charts/trends reporting).
- Knowledge of customers’ expectations through a combination of data analysis, boating experiences, and marine industry knowledge.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or five years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations in English.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, electronic mail, procedures, and performance documents, as examples, in English.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to effectively conduct meetings in person and with technology assistance.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
