Role Description

This full-time, on-site Surgical Coordinator role is based in Knoxville, TN. The Surgical Coordinator will manage surgery scheduling, verify insurance information, and serve as a liaison between patients, providers, and surgical teams. Responsibilities include coordinating all aspects of the surgical process, ensuring timely communication with patients, and maintaining proper documentation. The role demands effective communication with patients and team members to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Surgery Scheduling and knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Experience in Insurance Verification processes
• Strong Customer Service and Communication skills, including interacting with patients and medical staff
• Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to multi-task effectively
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or medical assistant certification is a plus
