Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Assistant role based in Knoxville, TN. The Medical Assistant supports clinicians by preparing exam rooms, taking vital signs, documenting patient histories, and assisting with examinations and procedures. Daily responsibilities include managing patient flow, updating and organizing medical records, scheduling appointments, and coordinating with the medical office team to ensure efficient operations. The role also involves providing direct patient care support, such as patient education, basic clinical tasks under supervision, and maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment. The Medical Assistant is expected to follow established clinical protocols, uphold confidentiality standards, and contribute to a positive, respectful patient experience.

Qualifications

• Clinical support skills, including Medical Assisting and Patient Care, to effectively aid providers and support patient needs.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology to accurately understand and document clinical information.
• Experience in a Medical Office setting, including appointment scheduling, patient intake, and coordination with clinical staff.
• Ability to manage and maintain Medical Records with attention to accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, clinicians, and administrative staff.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and standard office software.
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
