Job Description

This role administers and supports Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure — CUCM, Cisco Unity Connection, UCCX, Cisco Emergency Responder, Jabber, and WebEx Calling — for an enterprise healthcare environment. This position is responsible for lifecycle and steady-state support for all aspects of the corporate network, with a focus on our Unified Communications infrastructure to include Cisco Call Manager, Cisco Unity Connection voicemail, Unified Call Center Express (UCCX), conferencing systems integration to include WebEx and Microsoft Teams, Cisco Voice gateways and routers, Expressway, Jabber, WebEx Calling, Cisco Emergency Responder, and xMedius faxing. Will work diligently to ensure end user, network, and telecommunications support. In addition, the Network Administrator - UC Admin II will coordinate efforts with other administrators, specialists, and engineers as needed.

Qualifications Job Description

  • 3+ years of hands-on administration and provisioning experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Unity Connection (CUC), UCCX, and CUBE
  • Experience provisioning and supporting Cisco Emergency Responder (CER)
  • Experience provisioning, troubleshooting, and training end users on Jabber
  • Working knowledge of telephony protocols/circuits: SIP, SCCP, MGCP, PRI, H.323
  • Strong understanding of cloud telephony models — UCaaS and CCaaS
  • Ability to perform AD updates (name/location changes) tied to UC provisioning
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills; comfortable owning issues end-to-end
  • Excellent end-user communication skills — able to walk non-technical users through step-by-step troubleshooting with patience
  • Working familiarity with core IP networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VoIP, routing basics) as they relate to voice traffic — this role coordinates with network engineering rather than owning routing/switching design
  • 5-7+ years overall progressive experience in IT/systems administration
  • Willingness to obtain CCNA or CCNP certification within the first 18-24 months

· Cisco CCNA Collaboration

  • Prior experience in a healthcare or other regulated enterprise environment
