Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist in financial reporting (management and GAAP reporting) for the company.

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company.
  2. Assist in helping Pilot maintain an environment of internal controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  3. Help facilitate the year-end audit with our external auditors.
  4. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
  5. Assist in company budgeting and forecasting.
  6. Prepare materials for the senior leadership team and the board of directors.
  7. Research GAAP when technical accounting questions arise.
  8. Analyze monthly account reconciliations performed by various employees throughout the company.
  9. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
  10. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  11. Complete other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in public accounting preferred
  • CPA or MBA preferred

Specialized Knowledge 

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Working knowledge of various financial and reporting systems and database systems including Lawson, Infor, and Tableau

  • Financial acumen and ability to perform financial modeling and summarize results
  • Ability to manage projects and multiple priorities with minimal supervision
