The purpose of this job is to oversee the recurring equipment and maintenance reporting to be provided to leadership as well as spearheading projects related to equipment life cycle and operational performance.
In this role you will:
- Update and distribute daily, weekly, and/or monthly reporting for equipment and maintenance metrics
- Provide ad hoc research to support operations and assist in new reporting, presentations and other initiatives as directed by leadership
- Pull, format and distribute data as needed from Transportation’s asset management system to operations
- Oversee tracking of equipment life cycle including equipment leases, capital spend and equipment purchases, equipment sales and equipment swaps
- Audit tolls spend across operations to ensure economical optimization of routes by drivers
- Review of team performance surrounding open maintenance work orders, AP back-log and fuel billing card requests
- Work with finance team to project equipment and maintenance spend for forecasting and budget purposes
- Communicate directly with accounting team on equipment coming off lease and moving to equipment sales division to be sold
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate required
- Associate degree in accounting or business preferred
- Minimum two years’ experience with transportation financial reports preferred
- Minimum two years’ transportation/logistics experience preferred
- Advance Microsoft Office skills
- Basic knowledge of profit and loss statements and budgets
- Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to analyze, problem solve and make decisions
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with different levels of the organization
- Ability to take initiative, and work independently and on a team
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly
