Job Description

Please note this is an on-site position, located at our SSC headquarters in Knoxville, TN. Relocation assistance may be provided for candidates open to relocation.

The purpose of this job is to provide recruiting leadership and direction to the Sales and Support Center (SSC) and to support the C-Suite recruiting efforts.

  1. Oversee, lead and set priorities for assigned recruiting team
  2. Select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews
  3. Partner with recruiting to source and screen top talent to create a bench of qualified, interested and available applicants
  4. Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure that interviews, offers, required testing, background checks and new Team Member orientation is completed for each new hire
  5. Source and hire senior level (sometimes confidential) roles on a national level
  6. Ensure that recruiting teams organize, plan, manage and attend job fairs, college events and military recruiting events
  7. Research and provide recommendations and strategic direction for sourcing and recruiting by evaluating existing needs and best practices; inform human resources (HR) team and internal customers on current activities and industry changes
  8. Assist with development, implementation, and communication of recruiting strategies to recruiters and hiring teams
  9. Report to senior management weekly on recruiting team’s success in reaching goals
  10. Partner with other departments or teams as a talent acquisition representative on projects
  11. Model behaviors that support the company’s culture; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  12. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  13. Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related area of study or minimum seven years’ experience in recruiting required
  • Minimum three years’ experience in retail, restaurant or transportation operations preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office required, advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Understanding of EEOC and other recruiting-related regulations and laws, to include Canada
  • Experience using social media and marketing tools to source active candidates
  • Familiarity with HR databases and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects successfully to meet goals and initiatives
  • Strong written, verbal and listening communication skills, including telephone skills
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to influence, cultivate, and build relationships
  • Ability to drive results and exhibit strong follow-up skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Strong social networking skills
