UDig is seeking a QA Consultant with test planning and execution expertise and a passion for collaborating on impactful projects. Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases that ensure robust coverage of requirements.
  • Actively participate in backlog grooming sessions, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, testable, and meet acceptance criteria.
  • Assess test cases for automation potential, create automation strategies, and execute them effectively.
  • Document and report incidents with clear, actionable details, facilitating timely resolution by the development team.
  • Set up and manage testing environments to support diverse testing needs, ensuring they are correctly configured and maintained.

What You’ll Need:

Core Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance best practices and industry standards, with the ability to implement them effectively across projects.
  • Proficient in discussing various testing types within the test pyramid, including unit, integration, contract, UI, end-to-end, performance, load, and security testing.
  • Demonstrated capability to work independently, crafting and executing detailed test plans, strategies, and test cases based on diverse requirement sources.
  • Skilled in creating, maintaining, and executing manual and exploratory test cases, with the ability to identify scenarios suitable for automation and implement automated testing.
  • Expertise in logging and reporting defects with comprehensive details, including reproduction steps, configuration information, and discrepancies between expected and actual outcomes. Committed to ensuring appropriate test coverage for resolved issues.
  • Strong advocacy for quality throughout the software development lifecycle, including customer issues and resolution SLAs, with a proactive approach to suggesting process improvements and enhancing delivery.
  • Ability to deliver value-driven metrics and recommend specific, measurable data to highlight quality areas, supporting continuous improvement and risk analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills coupled with an analytical mindset, capable of tackling complex challenges.
  • Self-motivated and able to work efficiently under minimal supervision, managing time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with a diverse team to understand and address key business needs and requirements for supported applications.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of testing experience including
    • Experience testing in AWS or Azure specifically with Lambda or Azure Functions and Virtual Machines
    • Expertise with automation and testing tools such as Tosca, Postman, TestRail, etc
    • SQL (SQL Server or Postgres)
    • Expertise working in an Agile environment and using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps to organize work.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, CIS, or related field
