Graduate Research Assistant-Audiology and Speech Pathology (Knoxville)
Job Description
The Audiology and Speech Pathology department is seeking Student Assistant to support ongoing clinical and academic research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Perform literature reviews to identify gaps, trends, and relevant academic work in the research area.
- Design and execute experiments, surveys, or data collection protocols as required by the research project.
- Gather qualitative or quantitative data from primary or secondary sources.
- Organize, clean, and manage datasets for analysis.
- Employ appropriate statistical tools, software, or methodologies to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Prepare written summaries, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate research findings.
- Assist in drafting articles, papers, or proposals for publication in academic journals or conferences.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of research processes and results.
- Work closely with faculty advisors, research teams, and external collaborators to achieve project goals.
- Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and progress reviews.
- Present findings at internal seminars, academic conferences, or public forums as needed.
- Assist in managing project files, budgets, and logistics.
- Provide mentorship or support to junior students involved in the research.
- Handle other duties assigned by the supervising faculty or research supervisor.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree with a grade point average of at least 3.0 from an accredited college or university.
EXPERIENCE: No experience required.
