Building Maintenance Specialist

Knoxville, TN, United States (On-site)

Job Description

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the stadium foreman in painting of all athletic facilities patron areas. Assist in daily maintenance and cleaning when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Apply paint to multiple surfaces, including but not limited to walls, floors, doors, windows, handrails, etc.
  • Repair minor cracks, holes, and joints with caulk, plaster, or other fillers using the proper equipment and techniques.
  • Apply touch-up techniques to multiple surfaces.
  • Assist in set-up, take-down, and cleaning for all athletic events as needed.
  • Assist in daily facility and grounds maintenance and cleaning, to include pressure washing as needed.
  • Assist in getting Athletic facilities ready for any special event or project as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Experience: Commercial facility experience
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Knowledge of paint application to different substrates
  • Ability to match different paint colors and techniques for the task at hand
  • Skills to complete other duties as assigned by the foreman
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and to foster teamwork
  • Ability to work with diverse populations in a positive manner
  • Ability to complete projects on time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience: Commercial painting experience
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment
  • Ability to think critically within the scope of work requested
