THIS IS A PART-TIME GRANT-FUNDED POSITION (20 HOURS PER WEEK)
JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Technician 2 finalizes study protocols and works with collaborators to recruit and enroll participants.
Responsibilities
- Schedules and conducts semi-structured interviews.
- Performs qualitative data analysis according to the standards for reporting qualitative research (SRQR).
- Participates in research team meetings.
- Contributes to interim and final progress reports, abstracts, and manuscript preparation and submissions.
- Assists with compliance-related documents and tasks.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, or a Science-related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE: OR a combination of education, training, and experience to equal four (4) years. Experience conducting research in the sports medicine field. Graduate-level training in qualitative research methodologies. Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR)
- Skill in conducting semi-structured interviews for qualitative research.
- Knowledge of peer publishing in peer reviewed journals.
- Ability to organize and analyze qualitative data.
WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends.
