Hiring Salary: $19.10/Hourly

THIS IS A PART-TIME GRANT-FUNDED POSITION (20 HOURS PER WEEK)

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Research Technician 2 finalizes study protocols and works with collaborators to recruit and enroll participants.

Responsibilities

  1. Schedules and conducts semi-structured interviews.
  2. Performs qualitative data analysis according to the standards for reporting qualitative research (SRQR).
  3. Participates in research team meetings.
  4. Contributes to interim and final progress reports, abstracts, and manuscript preparation and submissions.
  5. Assists with compliance-related documents and tasks.
  6. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Chemistry, or a Science-related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: OR a combination of education, training, and experience to equal four (4) years. Experience conducting research in the sports medicine field. Graduate-level training in qualitative research methodologies. Experience working on multi-disciplinary teams.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Standards for Reporting Qualitative Research (SRQR)
  • Skill in conducting semi-structured interviews for qualitative research.
  • Knowledge of peer publishing in peer reviewed journals.
  • Ability to organize and analyze qualitative data.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends.
