Hiring Salary: $4,558.44 - $6,220.86/Monthly

JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, the Coordinator 2 acts on behalf of the GSM to implement the guidelines and procedures of the ACCME and AGD when planning and implementing post-graduate CME and CDE conferences for regional healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

  1. Reviews conference applications for ACCME or AGD compliance and completeness.
  2. Exercises independent judgment with respect to matters of compliance with ACCME or AGD guidelines and criteria when dealing with clients or industry vendors.
  3. Evaluates and exercises discretion over conference presentation materials.
  4. Ensures conference presenters have supplied fully vetted conflict of interest (COI) disclosures.
  5. Manages the process to mitigate any COI issues that arise.
  6. Modifies in-house methodologies as needed to match updates in ACCME or AGD guidelines.
  7. Maintains knowledge of ACCME or AGD standards to explain with confidence guidelines to learners, educational design directors, and clients.
  8. Coordinate guest presenter(s) travel within University’s policies and procedures.
  9. Negotiate contracts with hotels for lodging rooms, meeting space, AV needs, and catering.
  10. Processes income and expenditures for conferences.
  11. Manages credit database, trains series coordinators on use, and provides oversight.
  12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, Business, Public Health, Communications, English, or a related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)

EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of related experience; OR a combination of education and experience to equal six (6) years.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Certified Meeting Professional. (PREFERRED)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of hotel logistics and travel management.
  • Knowledge of Adobe, Canva, Qualtrics, Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Forms), and specialty software interfaces.
  • Proficient in designing marketing and visual communications to support educational initiatives.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and industry professionals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to provide work directions to volunteers and support staff.

WORK SCHEDULE: This position may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends. May require occasional overnight travel.
