The successful candidate will work closely with faculty from the Baker School and multiple departments. Candidates who have developed cross-disciplinary approaches during their graduate studies will find numerous, unique opportunities to engage in research programs at the leading edge of energy and environmental economics. The position is a 24-month appointment starting in the fall of 2026.
The Howard H. Baker Jr. School for Public Policy at the University of Tennessee seeks applications for a post-doctoral position from doctoral candidates or recent Ph.D recipients interested in renewable energy and electricity markets. The postdoc will work on several sponsored projects in these areas, collaborating with faculty from the Baker School and the Departments of Economics, Civil Engineering, and Agricultural and Resource Economics.
Required Qualifications
Education: PhD in Economics or closely related field
Experience: Research in energy economics
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Statistical inference
Preferred Qualifications
Education: PhD in economics earned in the last two years
Experience: Research fields in electric power markets
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Cross-disciplinary approaches developed during graduate studies (implied as valuable)
