This position provides critical administrative and clerical support to WUOT's underwriting and traffic operations, ensuring efficient sales and broadcast execution. Responsibilities include meticulous management of underwriting schedules, contract entry, script processing, and accounts receivable. The role also encompasses daily broadcast log duties, including printing, reconciling, and ensuring accurate airing of underwriting announcements. Proficiency in Allegiance, Enco, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential, along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills. This position also assists in gathering information for regulatory reports.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of two years of data entry experience, including experience working in databases.
Must be a calm, effective communicator—able to handle shifting priorities or goals with composure and confidence.
Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders and subject matter experts with varying levels of expertise.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in work environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with content management systems
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a commitment to accuracy.
Passion for public media and the mission of our organization.
Strong technical aptitudes and an ability to pick up and troubleshoot software-centric workflows with ease are required for success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree
- Three years of experience with data entry using database management software; broadcast traffic experience a plus.
- A knowledge and understanding of public broadcasting and its unique mission
Work Location: On site in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Compensation and Benefits: The anticipated starting salary for this position is $37,000 - $42,000 depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, and suitability.

Underwriting (Sales) and Traffic (Logging and Tracking) Support
Enter underwriting contracts into the Allegiance Traffic software.
Enter underwriting flight schedules into the Allegiance Traffic software.
Assign underwriting scripts to WUOT hosts for recording.
Ensure hosts have recorded assigned scripts.
Process scripts using Enco software systems.
Create, update, and coordinate underwriting schedules.
Correspond with clients as directed by underwriting sales staff.
Service accounts.
Print the daily program log.
Reconcile daily program logs to confirm broadcast of underwriting announcements.
Use Allegiance Traffic software.
General Administrative and Financial Support
Handle Underwriting Accounts Receivables.
Reconcile underwriting schedules.
Provide complex administrative and clerical support.
Use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Photoshop to correspond with clients as directed by the underwriting sales staff.
Assist the Director and Assistant Director(s) with information gathering for reports to regulatory agencies and/or organizations.
