This position will support the Executive Associate Dean of Research and Operations and the Interim Director of Faculty Affairs. This position is part time (0.5 FTE) and temporary; possible opportunity to transition to a full-time permanent role with increasing responsibilities in the future, contingent on departmental needs.

This part time temporary position will support the Executive Associate Dean of Research and Operations and the Interim Director of Faculty Affairs in the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

  • At least one year in a professional office environment, which can include student or part-time work

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Computer skills - excellent working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Organized
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate calendaring work needs for occasional night and weekend work
  • Responsible and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to represent the university in a professional manner
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to maintain confidentiality
  • Able to work well in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience

  • Prior experience in customer service and/or administrative tasks
  • At least one year in hospitality/customer service experience, which can include student or part-time work

Compensation and Benefits

  • UT market range: MR04

  • Anticipated hiring range: $19.25 / hr. - $20.00 / hr.

  • Calendar coordination for the Executive Associate Dean of Research and Operations and the Interim Director of Faculty Affairs. Monitor, schedule, manage, and update Outlook calendar appointments. Complete necessary polls, set up zoom credentials, and confirm meetings; ensure all necessary information is documented on calendar in a timely manner.

  • Maintain documentation on Teams.

  • Prepare letters, reports, and spreadsheets as requested.

  • Event preparation and execution support

    • Making nametags
    • Making copies of event documents
    • Prepare supplies needed for events (packing items, load in at events)
    • Serve as on-site staff for campus events – assist with load in and set up; greet guests and manage nametag table, assist with event flow, and assist with clean up and load out.
